Cancellation guide

How to cancel your C-Date subscription

C-Date's own App Store listing says you can switch off auto-renewal from your Account Settings after purchase, and that it must be off at least 24 hours before the current period ends. C-Date's UK help pages blocked our automated checks, so we could not confirm the exact menu labels on the website.

Before you start

  • Find out how you pay: directly on the site, or through Apple or Google Play. The route to cancel is different.
  • Note the renewal date in your account and cancel before it.
  • Keep the confirmation email or a screenshot, and check your bank statement after the next cycle.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Work out how you paid

Check your confirmation email or bank statement. If the charge came from Apple or Google, cancel there (see below). If you paid C-Date directly on the website, use your account.

  2. 2

    Open your account settings

Log in and open your account settings, then look for the membership or subscription section. We could not confirm the exact wording of these menus.

  3. 3

    Switch off auto-renewal

Turn auto-renewal off at least 24 hours before the current period ends. The paid period you are in will run to its end; the listing says it cannot be cancelled mid-term.

  4. 4

    Keep proof

Save the confirmation email or take a dated screenshot showing renewal is off.

  5. 5

Check your statement, then contact support if needed

Check your bank or card statement after the renewal date. If you were charged, email service@c-date.com, the support address given in C-Date's App Store listing, with your proof.

Paid through Apple or Google?

If you subscribed in the C-Date iPhone app, payment goes through your Apple ID: cancel in Settings, your name, Subscriptions. On Android, cancel in Google Play subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.

Deleting your profile vs stopping payments

Deleting a C-Date profile and switching off auto-renewal are not the same thing on most subscription sites, and we could not read C-Date's own help page on this. Switch off auto-renewal first and keep proof, then delete the profile.

If it still charges you

Contact C-Date's support with your confirmation and the date you cancelled. If you paid by card and can't get a response, talk to your bank about the payment. If you subscribed through Apple or Google, ask them for help from your purchase history.
